University of Miyazaki (UOM) has five major faculties which are faculties of education, medicine, agriculture, engineering, and regional innovation. UOM is a national university which is also participated in other graduate colleges of education, nursing, engineering, agriculture, regional innovation, medicine and veterinary medicine, agriculture and engineering. UOM is located in Miyazaki which is a capital city of Miyazaki prefecture and belonged to many natural scenery and beautiful sight-seeing places. University’s motto is ‘Look at the World, Start with the Community’. According to motto, there are about 200 international students in UOM. UOM give a chance to international students to study not only major specialization but also Japanese language and Japanese culture. There are various kinds of opportunities and events including Japanese language class, weekly work café (Job opportunities), Japanese Traditional Tea Ceremony, etc. Therefore, students can upgrade their ability and experiences through hard studying in great environment of UOM.
