The serene district of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh was marred by a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of three individuals and left two others injured. The incident took place on Thursday night when their car tragically plunged into the mighty Sutlej river near Kumarsain. This picturesque location, situated approximately 80 kilometers from Shimla, is known for its breathtaking natural beauty.
The ill-fated car, carrying five passengers, met with the devastating accident at Maholi on the Luhri-Sunni road in Kumarsain. The driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the dreadful plunge into the river. The impact was fatal, instantly claiming the lives of Jitesh Kumar, his wife Vanshika, and Abhay Kumar. The deceased hailed from Jani village in the Nichar tehsil of Kinnaur district, as well as Reckong Peo in Kinnaur district.
Upon receiving the distress call, a police team from Sainj promptly rushed to the accident site to carry out rescue operations. The injured passengers, identified as Rahul and Anshul, were immediately rushed to the civil hospital in Kumarsain for medical treatment.
